Grant Thornton boosts growth ambitions with COO Ronald Houtveen joining board of directors

Grant Thornton Netherlands will appoint Ronald Houtveen as chief operating officer from 1 July 2024. Houtveen will take on this role within the board of directors for a period of two years. He will focus on the transition appropriate to the ambitious growth targets of the accountancy and advisory firm.

About Ronald Houtveen

Ronald Houtveen has over 25 years of experience as a Board member and member of Supervisory Boards in the financial and business services sector. With his background at national and international accounting firms, Houtveen has a solid foundation and experience to strengthen our Board. Throughout his career, Ronald increasingly held financial and operational roles in which he had ultimate responsibility for, among other things, commerce and operations. For the last 15 years, these were mostly statutory Board positions.

Achieving growth ambitions

"With the arrival of Ronald Houtveen, we are giving a boost to the transition our organisation is going through," says CEO Marcel Blöte. "Grant Thornton Netherlands has an ambitious growth ambition and a solid innovation and digitalisation agenda, which requires quite a transformation of the organisation. That's where Ronald will make his contribution over the next two years. His years of experience in improving organisations, with his eye on both people and process, is an excellent match for Grant Thornton. As the third director on the board, his expertise brings great added value."

Ronald Houtveen is looking forward to working at Grant Thornton. "I am enthusiastic about Grant Thornton's ambition. Establishing a modern, operational organisation directly contributes to satisfied clients, colleagues and other stakeholders. I look forward to contributing to this in the coming period."
